This 2-storey mews house suffering major subsidence caused by nearby trees was completely demolished and rebuilt using a piling system to stabilize the new structure. Although the footprint of the dwelling remains the same, 77 m2 was gained by creating a new mezzanine level and basement. The basement houses a spa with a mosaic clad steam room and private screening room. The central staircase filters light from the top floor down to the ground level hallway. This use of natural light is used continually throughout the house.
